Hundreds of people packed Eau Claire Festival Market last Sunday to attend the 19th Annual BBQ on the Bow Festival. The free, fun, family event paid homage to all things barbecue and featured performances by WestWinds Concert Band, Stampede Talent Search winners, Alex Boisselle Trio and the Mike Clark Band with special guests Steve Pineo and Tim Williams.

The competition was fierce indeed but it was team Lords of the Grill that took top honours and a cool $2,000 in prize money. Congrats to team members Jon Lord and Vladimir Andreev. Lord, president of BBQ on the Bow Society, competed for 19 years and finally won!

Congrats as well to: Reserved Champion, Dougall Cup winner, team Mad Cow Barbecue from Langley, B.C.; third place winner, Smoke A Fat One from Snohomish, Wash.; and fourth place winner, The Smokin Poles from Calgary.
