Orientation | Positions | Application [pdf] | Location, Maps & Parking

We are always looking for volunteers to help out at this fantastic event. If you would like to become involved, please contact us thru our Executive Producer via e-mail. Just send an e-mail regarding your intention to give us a hand to make this the best event ever.

Volunteer Orientation:

Volunteers required for:

Volunteers recieve: a T-shirt, name tag, a BBQ lunch ticket & gift bag.

Please be on time day of the event

Please call us if you are going to be late or unable to come.

Dress for the weather, bring your own water bottle & mini first aid kit.

Positions Available

• Site Crew - Friday, Saturday & Sunday - assist with site set-up, take down & maintenance.
• Volunteer / Information Tent - sign-in volunteers, hand out t-shirts, lunch tickets, gift bags & assist public with any questions.
• Children's Craft Tent - help children with crafts.
• Kitchen Demo - assist guest chefs with sampling and hand-out recipes.
• Festival / Street Zone Hostess - greet public & vendors, hand-out festival brochures, know what is going on in each area and act as helpers to Volunteer & Street Zone Co-ordinators. Must be mobile and able to roam entire festival site.
• BBQ Teams Sampling Tent – must have food-handling or catering experience and can work as a team during peak sampling times *
• Food Patio – Table Wiping Team – wipe patio tables and change out bags in patio recycling and garbage bins.
• General Store – Set-up & display merchandise & bag products for sale to the public – open Sat & Sun.
• Stage Assistant - assist Stage Manager with stage set-up and performers.
• Road / Event Security - assist with event security, road barricades, backstage, load in & load out.
• Recycling / Garbage Bag Team – monitor recycling and garbage bins and change out bags and move to designated areas.

The BBQ On The Bow Festival is located at Eau Claire Festival Market in the city plaza between the Sheraton Hotel, YMCA, Eau Claire Market and bridge to Princes Island Park.

Parking:

• The Eau Claire Impark lot at the south end of the market at 2nd Ave and 2nd St. is the closest pay lot available.
• Parking is available around the Eau Claire Festival Market site at both parking meters and a variety of paid parking lots within easy walking distance from the competition site.
• Free street parking all day Sunday.
